Carol Rose is one of the most respected and accomplished horsewomen in the American Quarter Horse industry. A member of the AQHA Hall of Fame, NCHA Hall of Fame, NRHA Hall of Fame, NRCHA Hall of Fame, and the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame, she is recognized throughout the world for a lifetime of leadership in breeding, raising, owning, showing, and promoting American Quarter Horses. AQHA also honored her as Professional Horsewoman of the Year, reflecting the depth and diversity of her influence across the western performance horse industry.
Rose's impact extends far beyond her own business. She has served as an AQHA Director, was the first female member of the AQHA Judges' Committee, and currently serves on the AQHA Registration Committee, reflecting an active role in shaping the future of the breed and the industry.
As a breeder, Rose has produced some of the most influential horses in the history of the western performance horse industry, including Shining Spark, widely recognized as one of the cornerstone sires of the modern era. On a daily basis, she continues to play an active role in breeding management, mare-owner consultation, and long-term stewardship of one of the most important sire lines in the American Quarter Horse industry.
Today, Carol remains deeply involved in every aspect of her breeding program and in advising breeders and mare owners. Her knowledge, judgment, work ethic, and unmatched lifetime experience make her exceptionally well-suited as an advisor to those building, raising, and preserving the quality of the American Quarter Horse.
